When a friend is sick, you should be able to rent a mom to wait on him or her and make them chicken soup.  With this entire blossoming  world of social marketing to connect you to everyone, where are the real people to stand next  to you or your friend with a cold drink and a new  box of kleenex?   When one person “goes down” in our house, the entire house goes down.
