Happy Fourth of July! I love sparkler’s, cupcakes with white butter cream frosting and patriotic colored sprinkles, BBQ chicken and homemade lemonade. Since the spirit of July Fourth is all about independence and BBQs we made Founding Father’s BBQ.

Show Dad You Care with Heartfelt Ecards

Send dad our new heartfelt Dads are Heros ecard. Dads do so much for us and rarely are they thanked enough. How do we show dad we care? Bennett and I decided to call our friend Peter, who creates Elmo’s music. We asked Peter to create some fun yet heartfelt lyrics for Doozy members to send their Fathers. Peter created and sung the fun Hawaiian lyrics in our Hawaiian Doggie Fathers Day ecard and he created the music for Dad’s Dog Band.

Cart for a Cause

Join us and St. Vincent Meals on Wheels’ Cart for a Cause tomorrow in Santa Monicawhere chef Josef Centeno will be serving up his Lazy OX Canteen menu. Each $10 meal (includes drink and dessert) will feed a senior for a day. The Cart for a Cause will be at 2850 Ocean Blvd in front of the tennis channel. Meals will be served between 12 pm and 2 pm. I would get there at 12 pm since meals have been selling out by 12:30!
When we look at the people behind LA’s first non-profit food truck (see above pic), Cart for a Cause, it’s hard to believe Sister Alice Marie (right corner) started St. Vincent Meals on Wheels on her bicycle. Today the kitchen is serving thousands a meals a day via a fleet of vans and now - a gourmet food truck!

My son Otis and my husband Patrick enjoyed their third year doing the beach ride.
At Doozycards we are sending lots of love to the home bound seniors, many whom have been hit hard by these difficult financial times.

Meals on Wheels Cart for a Cause

Bennett and I were were thrilled today to head over to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to eat lunch at the Meals on Wheels Cart for a Cause. Every meal purchased feeds a senior for an entire day. Lying on the lawn across from LACMA eating fried chicken n blue cheese sandwiches and tuna tartar is the most painless way to feed a senior.
Each week there is a different celebrity chef cooking inside the truck! Not just local fry cooks - world famous chefs like Nobu donate their time and all the food. Today it was Eric Greenspan from The Foundry and Bennett and I give him two giant thumbs up. Thanks Eric! St. Patrick’s Day Ecards and Golden Retrievers

We want to thank all our customers for sending in the adorable pictures of their golden retrievers in response to our line of golden retriever ecards. This adorable pic of Abby is one of our favorites.

My brother Allen finally gave his six kids what they had been begging for - a golden retriever puppy. Molly is an adorable and constant companion for their baby, Hudson. They play for hours while the commotion of the other kids happens around them. Of course, now my own three boys are begging for a dog. My son insists we buy a dog like Gibson (the famous seven foot dog). I have tried to tell him, he would have to carry around a giant shovel and paper grocery bag on all walks. He insists he wants to do this and it will change his life. I know it will at least change his biceps!

Eat Beignets and Send Mardi Gras Ecards

Today, I made the kids wear mardi gras beads to Farmer’s market in Los Angeles while we all ate gumbo. They weren’t entirely happy with the gumbo but the beignets were a big hit. The four year old even did some dancing next to our table with a face covered in sugar. Naturally we had to throw our beads to him which made him very excited.
At Doozycards we believe you don’t have to be in New Orleans to celebrate Mardi Gras. Throw on some beads and send Mardi Gras ecards such as the Dancing Crayfish Mardi Gras ecard. Happy Valentine’s Day to our wonderful customers! At Doozycards, we are all so pleased you are enjoying and sending all our new Valentine ecards. We try to make a Valentine ecard for everyone. We made our first Valentine photo insert ecard , Dancing Cupid Insert Your Photo. We are also happy to see the Valentine ecard, Magical Heart is popular. Our animator Carolyn, worked really hard to make this beautiful card. I told Bennett, I don’t think mice are cute but I was so wrong! Thanks to Caroline’s all-nighters, this Valentine ecard is amazing.
My kids and their cousins, of course, love the Valentine ecard, Doggies in Rome. My brother, who has six kids (five boys!) just got a golden retriever puppy. So we will have to add Molly the puppy to our next golden retriever ecards too.
We also made adult ecards and hope they don’t offend anyone. We do receive a lot of requests for adult ecards and they are popular. The romantic adult ecard, Valentine 4 Him is apparently being used for a lot of flirting this Valentine’s day. We also had to make the funny adult ecard, Hot Valentine Surprise. We do laugh a lot when we make these adult surprise ecards.
Whether you are single or married too many years to count, we wish each and everyone one of our customers a content and peace filled Valentines Day.

Send Bill Clinton’s Stimulus Package Valentine Ecard

We couldn’t resist making a Bill Clinton stimulus package Valentine ecard. Bennett does such a great Bill Clinton voice. We know Clinton is such an easy target but we also thought he was a fun choice to deliver a Valentine Stimulus packages to all your friends.
We are working on a gorgeous new Valentine ecard today. I am going to be daring and say I think it is the most beautiful card we have ever made. Bennett is fixing the music file size with the animator, Caroline. Then, we will be posting this gorgeous Valentine ecard. We hope you love it! We are excited about our new Doggies in Rome Valentine ecard. It contains everything we love about Rome. The Doozy production team would love to be at the Trevi Fountain with our laptops writing Valentine ecards!
